Besides our annual music festival, The Crazy Town Country Convention hosts many events for its members throughout the year. Take a look at our upcoming events.

Orientation for New Members:
January 22nd, 2008

11:00am-12:00pm Orientation
Learn the benefits of your new membership status. We will be providing drinks and snacks throughout the meeting. Our President, Charlie, will personally meet each new member, and he will give a talk on how to get the most out of your new membership. Everyone who joined The Crazy Town Country Convention over the last 12 months, or any members who have not yet attended an orientation are welcome to join us.

Officer Elections:
Feb 2nd, 2008

This year, the Assistant Director of Planning, Secretary of the Travelling Treasurer, and the Deputy Cleanup Officer positions are all up for reelection. All nominations for candidacy MUST be received at least a week prior to the meeting so that we have time to put your name on the ballot. Each candidate will be given a maximum of 15 minutes to speak. All members with voting privileges are invited to attend.

Update: Due to Mike Dray's recent tragic death, the Treasurer position is also open. Billy was reelected to this position 17 years in a row. His successor has some big shoes to fill. Because of this, our Officer Election Meeting this year is of paramount importance, and we urge ALL members to attend.

Special Members Square Dance

Men, strap your boots on, and ladies button up your favorite dress, it’s time for some good old fashioned square dancing! Featuring live music and a wide menu of food and drinks, don’t miss out on this opportunity to socialize with your fellow members of The Crazy Town Country Convention. Each member is encouraged to bring one guest. All members are invited.

The Crazy Town Country Convention 2008 Music Festival
June 15th – 17th, 2008
Fort Cherry Wall Stadium
This is our flagship event. For 12 months, our dedicated members spend countless hours planning this spectacle. After so long a wait, it is a great joy to be able to finally relax and enjoy some of the best country music in the world. All members are invited to attend for free. Admission for non-members is $60 per day or $150 for a three day pass. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.

Music Festival Wrap up Meeting
July 1st, 2008
Fort Cherry Wall Town Hall
6-10:30pm
This crucial meeting is to let members have their say about their impressions of the Festival while it is still fresh in their minds. Many logistics issues will be worked out during this meeting. What worked well, what didn’t work, and what do we need to change for next year will all be discussed at this meeting. Charlie will preside over this meeting. His impressions on this year’s photo booth will be particularly interesting. All members are invited to attent. No guests.

Artist Selection
November 16th, 2008
10am-10pm
The applications are in, and the music clips have piled up. Join us for a full day of the selection process. Eat, drink, laugh, listen to music, and network with other members. Which artists would you like to return to next year’s festival? Which artists do you want to ban from ever coming back? Maybe you’ll be the one that discovers that hidden gem who becomes the next international sensation. One vote per member. No Guests. All members with voting privileges are invited to attend.

Holiday Cheer and Celebration

You just had Thanksgiving dinner with your family, and you’ll meet again for Christmas, but don’t forget your other family! We will eat ‘til we have to unfasten our belts. Then we will drink ‘til we are merry. Dancing, cards, and a secret Santa gift exchange will soon follow. This is a purely social event. Members are encouraged to bring a guest.
